After an extensive tender exercise Kappture were selected to design and supply York University Students Union (YUSU) with a new EPoS and Hospitality Technology solution. The solution was delivered in conjunction with commercial strategy experts Moneypennys Business Solutions and delivered both on time and to budget.
Nick Barnes, Director of Moneypennys commented “This was a complex brief and the client had a set of very bespoke requirements for a new system. The team at YUSU have put a lot of thought and effort into selecting the right partner for their development - David and the team at Kappture have met all the challenges head-on and made sure that both YUSU as a client and Moneypennys as project managers have been able to launch a very versatile set of systems in partnership with an excellent systems provider - well done to everyone involved”.
Speed, security, and flexibility were major factors influencing the decision to award the contract to Kappture. The system will benefit from both static and mobile EPoS platforms complimented by a full kitchen management solution, mobile app for click and collect and a stock interface to Kitchen Cut.
The fully white labelled app offering click and collect, mobile ordering and customer loyalty will complement the traditional EPoS. A full payment processing service and e-commerce solution will be managed in conjunction with our industry leading partners Worldpay.
Dave Robinson, Business Development Manager at Kappture, added “We are absolutely delighted to be assisting the YUSU team with the provision of their new cutting-edge system. During these unprecedented times we sincerely hope our knowledge and experience can play a significant part in the safe and profitable re opening of all the venues."

SAID Business School Oxford University implemented a brand-new EPOS solution in 2014 to which Kappture supplied the hardware and software for the project, the EPOS solution enabled the ability for cashless payments for the students and staff along with the ability to use the existing Mifare cards that the school already used.
"We worked closely with Addvance IT prior to selecting the solution – making sure all our customer and client requirements could be met. The design of our own branded Mobile App and customer website has been a real winner for our students and staff and we can now offer promotions and rewards easily and quickly. The implementation was well managed with a simple and effective training program backed up by on site go live support on the first day. When issues arose they have been fixed quickly and we are now seeing the benefits of managing our operation with the help of real time sales and cashless information via the cloud"
Mark Pearce, MIH General Operations Manager
Kappture imported the Mifare cardholder details meaning there was no need for the reallocation of cards to the students and staff. To go with the Mifare cards SAID had a branded mobile app created to which member could use along with their Mifare cards to receive promotions and rewards as well as supply feedback. During the install the SAID catering and admin teams were training by Kappture engineers on how to use the software, along with go live support for a smooth integration.
